Enhance Lobby Ambiance with SEG Fabric Light Boxes

Interior design is pivotal in shaping the atmosphere of business environments, particularly lobbies. A thoughtfully designed lobby has the power to leave a lasting impression on visitors and clients alike. At KiXi, we recognize the significance of compelling signage in these spaces. Recently, we introduced a bespoke fabric SEG light box into a lobby, revolutionizing the area with dynamic visual displays.

Understanding SEG Fabric: How It Works and Its Versatility

SEG (Silicone Edge Graphics) is a preferred option for premium displays. This innovative signage method entails printing graphics onto fabric and applying a silicone edge to the fabric. This edge seamlessly fits into an SEG frame, stretching the fabric taut for a sleek, frameless appearance. Ideal for diverse settings such as retail signage, trade shows, and corporate offices, SEG fabric is celebrated for its adaptability. Its interchangeable signage capability enables effortless graphic updates; ensuring displays remain current and impactful.

Elevating Spaces with SEG Fabric Lightbox Installations

KiXi made waves last year by installing a bespoke 69” x 120” wall-mounted SEG fabric lightbox at a jewelry store in Berhampore, West Bengal, tailored precisely to fit the expansive wall space. This display features perimeter lighting for uniform and brilliant illumination across the large graphic. The frame's segmented extrusions facilitated easier and more economical transportation and shipping of the oversized frames. By opting for SEG backlit fabric paired with dye-sublimated printing, vibrant colors and intricate details ensure the graphic commands attention both up close and from afar.

Precision Installation of Large SEG Light Boxes

KiXi Media Innovation's graphic installation experts managed the setup of this large SEG lightbox. The process began with assembling the frame, which arrived in 8 pieces of frame extrusions—two per side—connected using splice connectors for seamless integration. Corner connectors ensured sturdy junctions at the corners. Given its height, a vertical support bar was essential to uphold frame rigidity. A blockout backer fabric was incorporated to prevent light leakage from behind the display. Pre-drilled frame extrusions facilitated secure wall anchoring. Following this, a small hole was cut in the backer fabric for the wall plug, and the fabric was installed. This transformation elevated the space from ordinary to extraordinary, instantly capturing the attention of passersby.
